Echinococcosis is the most significant and dangerous parasitic disease of humans in Central Europe. It is also commonly referred to as dog tapeworm or fox tapeworm disease. At our outpatient clinic patients who have or are suspected of having echinococcosis are clinically managed according to the latest scientific standards. The cooperation of various medical disciplines (infectiology, internal medicine, surgery, radiology, interventional radiology) ensures that the best individual diagnosis and therapy strategy can be developed for each patient. The structure and operation of our outpatient department is oriented towards leading international centers and unique in its kind in northern Germany.
